日本の動植物を中心に投稿していく予定です。英語の勉強を兼ねて一言、一行、英語で説明もなるべく載せる予定です。 I mainly contribute pictures and comments concerning nature in Japan. My plan is to write part of the blog in easy English. I don't understand English very well yet, so please forgive my lack of a vocabulary. I might make mistake. but I hope to be a good English Speaker and Writer in the future. If possible please feel free to correct my mistakes. 2008.6.28

節分 Setsubun.
炒り大豆 Roasted soybeans
節分 is the day before the beginning of spring.
The roasted soybeans-scatting ceremony celebrating the coming of spring.
Japanese people believe that they can illness and devils away by throwing beans.
We throw beans with shouting “Fortune in, devils out”. And they eat beans of the same number as their age.
